THE PRACTICAL SOBRIETY METHOD

The Three-Stage Strategy

PART I

Clarity

Before you can build an effective recovery strategy, you need a clear picture of the problem you are trying to solve.

Clarity explains the addiction and recovery process, helps you locate yourself within it, and examines the forces that can pull behaviour away from conscious intention.

PART II

Strategy

Understanding the problem is only the beginning. The next step is developing a practical strategy for solving it.

Strategy brings together the principles of recovery into a coherent approach. Rather than relying on determination alone, it explains how different elements support one another and why each has its place.

PART III

Sobriety

This is where the theory becomes practical.

Sobriety follows the changing stages of recovery, beginning with preparation and moving through the first day, the early weeks, greater stability and long-term growth.

The guidance changes as recovery changes. What matters most at the beginning is not necessarily what matters several months or years later.
